OVERVIEW
The DTC Welding Technology Building is a 17,000 SF ground-up facility designed to support advanced technical training in a highly specialized environment. Gramoll played a key role in coordinating the project’s complex systems and delivering a high-performance educational space aligned with industry standards.
The building features 69 welding booths and 20 fabrication stations, supported by a robust fume extraction system with 89 snorkels and 6 hoods to ensure safe air quality and compliance with occupational health requirements. Precision coordination was critical to integrate these systems efficiently while maintaining functionality and accessibility throughout the space.
In addition to hands-on training areas, the facility includes an instructional classroom, student lounge, instructor offices, conference room, and administrative support spaces. A covered outdoor material handling and storage area enhances operational flexibility, while a pedestrian gateway provides a seamless connection to the main campus.
Through disciplined project management and attention to detail, Gramoll helped deliver a highly technical facility that supports both safety and long-term performance in a demanding educational setting.
