OVERVIEW

The Bingham Entrepreneurship and Energy Research Center is the flagship building for the Uintah Basin Campus of Utah State University. The two-story building houses the Bingham Entrepreneurship Center as well as multidisciplinary educational and research lab facilities. Sustainability was key in the design and construction of the mechanical systems, building envelope, and the extensive use of day lighting with clerestories, transom windows, skylights and an open central staircase. To deliver a truly community-based project, the design/build team incorporated local Uintah County subcontractors into Gramoll’s in-house design/build team from Salt Lake County.

The resulting Gramoll team was able to save both time and money through value engineering and smart design solutions such as using a cutting-edge construction solution with the footings. This translated to an additional 12,000 square feet for entrepreneurial and research space and a 6-week early project completion.
