OVERVIEW

The Utah State University Kaysville Education Center is a 6,400-square-foot, LEED Silver-certified facility that anchors the Center’s master-planned campus and sets the architectural tone for future development. As the first permanent building on site, it blends modern design with the region’s agricultural heritage through its stone and siding exterior and low-slope gable roof.

 

The Center features eleven technology-rich classrooms of various sizes—including two that combine for up to 60 students—plus faculty offices, a testing room, and flexible support spaces. Its advanced infrastructure supports both in-person and distance education.

 

Sustainability guided the project, with energy-efficient systems, durable materials, deep roof overhangs, and a skylight that maximizes daylight while reducing energy use. The building is integrated into demonstration gardens, native plantings, and a central courtyard, supporting hands-on research and education.

 

Gramoll’s expertise was key to delivering this complex, high-tech, and sustainable facility, ensuring it met Utah State University’s rigorous standards and harmonized with the Botanical Center’s long-term vision.
